I will never get over a Santa Monica sunset. The combination of a salty breeze, surf lineup, rising moon (if you’re lucky), and deep orange hues that make a Southern California sunset unlike any other.

Which is why I was beyond stoked when Rachel decided that she wanted two peak SoCal locations for her maternity shoot with her husband Rusty. We started the late afternoon off at an historic cactus garden before making our way to Santa Monica beach to walk along the shoreline, get a little wet, and watch both the sun set and the moon rise.
