Sarah and I have known each other for more than 10 years — starting at one of the worst jobs either of us have ever had. And over the years, we lived together, cried together, watched plenty of Little Women together, and seen each other through some major life milestones. And when I met John at her sister Rachel’s wedding — I knew this guy was a keeper.

He got on one knee in front of the restaurant where they had their first date, in the middle of a pandemic, and as the world opened up in 2021, the wedding-of-their-dreams planning commenced. I even snagged some FaceTime photos of them back in 2020, getting the chance to be a fly on the wall of their apartment as they giggled together — sharing loving moments that I just know they’ll continue to have for the rest of their lives.
