Emma and Ian closed out my 2021 wedding season by seriously raising the bar — all thanks to a bike parade that took them from Mackworth Island to their ceremony and reception locale at Maine Audubon.

Since moving to Portland, Emma and Ian have created the Portland Bike Party, where dozens, and often many dozens, of their friends and Portland residents come together to explore the city via bike. They wanted to bring that growing community to their wedding, and the Portland Bike Party delivered.

Add to that a beautifully crisp autumn scene at Maine Audubon, hand-tie-dyed napkins made by the bride and groom, a last-minute DJ change, and a dance party to end all dance parties, Emma and Ian’s wedding was one I’ll never forget.
